Dear delegates,
It is my honor to address you as the chair of the Security Council at CIMUN 2019. My name is Vanesa and I am currently studying at an IB High School in Prague. CIMUN19 will mark my second time being a chair, raising the number of MUN conferences I attended altogether to six.
With the Security Council representing the leading organ in determining the existence of a threat to the international peace, I find it to be at the very forefront of the United Nations functioning and I am thus both humbled and excited to be able to preside over its proceedings at CIMUN19.
I'm looking forward to meeting you all in March!

Greetings,

My name is Savannah Alexander and I am the co-chair of the United Nations Security Council. I am excited for you to join the CIMUN this year.

This is my first year of MUN and I believe that it is something everyone should do in order to gain experience and knowledge in everyday problems and conflicts. Even though Human Rights has been implemented for years, we still have issues that ignore these basic rights. One of the UNSC’s main goals is to maintain human rights in a peaceful and pacifistic way.

I’m looking forward to the debates and discussions about this topic and to gain experience by being your co-chair.
