The committees at CIMUN are separated into the following organs: General Assemblies (GAs) and Special Committees. Every Chair in each committee has undergone extensive training at Carlsbad International School and Chairs from visiting schools have undergone an intensive interview process to ensure that the highest quality of debate and decorum is present in each committee throughout the entire conference.

Each Chair comes well prepared for their committee. The Secretary-General and the Faculty Advisors here at Carlsbad International School have assisted each Chair throughout the research process, choosing agenda items, and writing their background guides for the incoming delegates.
